These Crucifix are part of the artwork ISEBEIKEN. With love, care and dedication, I created these figurines, but then let the system torture and damage them. The contrast between careful creation and the destruction that follows is an important element in this work.

The crucifix is one of the most famous icons in the world. It is often a sacred symbol, but at the same time a decorative piece. Many people forget what the original instrument of torture once was. By giving new meaning to this iconic symbol, I want to encourage people to rethink the impact of symbols in our daily lives. At a time when we are inundated with images through various media, we often become numb. We have given easy forms to love our loved ones, but I believe it is time to rethink our symbols, structures and rituals.

The crucifix is available in two colours: white and black.
